Just a few weeks ago, the time arrived – The Westin Grand Frankfurt opened its doors. After a 25-month renovation phase, the Main metropolis of Frankfurt is getting back one of its most prestigious hotels. With its new design and unique concept, the hotel is not just a hotel, but a well-being oasis in the heart of Frankfurt’s city centre.

With its well-being concept, The Westin Grand Frankfurt focuses on the six pillars of well-being. Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well and Play Well are the guiding principles of the hotel brand, which combine the most important needs of hotel guests at the highest level. Thanks to the extensive remodelling, this concept is lived throughout the hotel and clearly tangible for the guest. For example, the comfortable Heavenly Bed®, high-quality textiles, a pillow menu, lavender balm and tips for falling asleep ensure a restful night’s sleep. A special feature are the two rooms equipped with a Peloton bike. In addition, video yoga sessions, the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio and a Running Concierge – a personal running partner that assists guests to get to know the city and stay fit during their stay – round off the sports-themed offerings, true to the motto Move Well.

The new room concept, with a fresh design, runs through all 372 rooms, which have been completely refurbished – flooring in natural colours, new light wood furniture, wall decoration and a sophisticated lighting concept ensure well-being during the stay. The bathrooms have also been completely renovated and redesigned. In addition to new sanitary facilities, they offer the Westin Heavenly Shower, a large walk-in shower with a rain showerhead. The spa area and fitness centre have been completely renovated. Furthermore, wellness treatments, a sauna, a steam bath and an indoor pool provide Feel Well moments.
Peter Reischl, General Manager of The Westin Grand Frankfurt, was very excited about the imminent reopening: “I can’t really describe my feeling when we welcomed our guests back to our hotel, it was really a beautiful moment. During the renovation, we not only modernised the rooms, but also redesigned other areas, such as the lobby, the spa and the Atrium with the restaurant and a new concept is also evident here – from the floor to the ceiling. When people think of Frankfurt, they primarily think of the skyline and impressive skyscrapers. But our Main metropolis offers so much more, such as numerous parks and green spaces in the middle of the city. We want to reflect Frankfurt’s green diversity in our hotel – that’s why, for example, you’ll find vertical green walls in our lobby and natural colours in our rooms to create a sense of cosiness. The Atrium impresses with a new restaurant concept. The Main Tapas Lounge focuses on offering guests typical local and regional Frankfurt specialties, in tapas form, just as the restaurant name suggests.”

Finally, the lobby is equipped with a new cosy sofa corner for relaxing and tables for productive work in the spirit of Work Well. In addition, the lobby now features a “Grab & Go” store that offers fresh, local snacks and beverages throughout the day and night.
Together, Arabella Hospitality SE, as the hotel operator, and Bayerische Hausbau, as its owner, invested a mid-double-digit million amount. Joern Siebke from Studio Lux Berlin is responsible for the design, the management is still in the hands of Marriott International.
