This summer, The Loren, Bermuda’s newest boutique hotel, invites visitors to celebrate Bermudian cuisine through sensational food and culinary experiences at their Summer Guest Chef Series.
This curated series welcomes innovative, Michelin-recognised chefs to the island to celebrate the best of Bermuda’s unique cuisine through original menus and creative ingredients.

Starting in May this year, the Summer Guest Chef Series has welcomed a host of world renowned chefs, including JJ Johnson, Nina Compton, Brad McDonald, Maneet Chahuan and Dan Kluger and featured a range of cuisines, from Caribbean to neoclassical French and Indian fare, all celebrating the island’s heritage through the integration of authentic Bermudian flavours. These remarkable takes on Bermudian dishes have included salt cod fritters with peri-peri aioli and sweet plantain, and purple sweet potato pie with coconut ice cream.
Kicking off the hottest month of the season, Chef Tiffany Derry will turn up the heat from 12 to 14 August. This celebrity chef, restauranter and TV personality aims to bring a new awareness of the origins and delights of Southern cuisine, bringing roots cuisine and her heritage to the table. For Chef Tiffany’s family, field-to-table eating has not been a trend, but a way of life, and she now invites visitors to experience eating with the seasons for a sense of true nourishment.

Chef Dayanny De La Cruz will round off a summer of culinary excellence between 26 and 28 August. A Dominican American executive chef, De La Cruz was the first ever woman to manage the food services during Super Bowl LIV. Her menu is centred around the local cuisine, featuring short ribs and lobster tails, inviting guests to enjoy these delectable flavours while soaking up the last of the summer sun in bermudaful Bermuda. Prices range from $65 to $235 per person, with options including brunch, an intimate chef experience, and the chef’s dinner with pairings.
